Technical control begins with raw materials, where all our wool is purchased from known sources and geographic locations and covers all production processes through to the finished product. Our processes and raw materials are fully traceable and full testing and inspection is carried out at each key stage. Our modern laboratory carries out all necessary physical tests and we also have facilities for lab dyeing to assist our on site dyehouse to produce new colours and to meet customer needs.

It is a core principal at Wooltex that each manufacturing stage is continually reexamined to find improved working methods in order to control costs and reduce delivery times. Improving flexibility through the application of ‘lean’ principals is also a key theme which runs throughout the business. Extensive capital investment has taken place at Wooltex in recent years. Investment decisions are made on the basis of ability to improve productivity, technical advancement, process consistency and added value to our products.

Our technical team have extensive textile manufacturing experience in their own area of expertise which allows us to push the boundaries of what is possible with each process. Our product design team produce sector leading designs which are sold throughout the world.
