In 2011 WooltexUK entered into a partnership with its major client Kvadrat who made an agreement to purchase a stake in the company. Based in Denmark and a family owned business Kvadrat are a European leader in high quality textiles for interiors. Their textiles have been used in some of the world’s most important architectural landmarks.
Kvadrat has been developing beautifully designed interior textiles since 1968 and the company is involved in over 3,000 building projects each year worldwide. They are renowned for excellence in design and sales and their partnership with WooltexUK creates a seamless supply chain. This has allowed them to introduce exciting new fabrics to clients in Europe and emerging markets across all sectors from hospitality to transportation.

B&O Play BeoPlay A6
B&O PLAY’s BeoPlay A6 is a flexible and powerful music system tailored to the dynamic life of the modern music lover. Designed to suit multiple work and leisure locations around the house, its unique curved shape spreads the sound throughout the room.
BeoPlay A6 features switchable wool-blend covers in a variety of colours to ensure it suits any interior. These can be swapped in seconds.
The wool-blend covers have been specially engineered by Kvadrat. They are woven with multi-coloured threads that combine acoustic transparency with a strong aesthetic.
Arlanda Express
Our fabrics, designed by Kvadrat were selected for the Arlanda Express, a Swedish express train that offers the fastest transport link between Stockholm Central Station and Arlanda Airport.
Seats were made from Clara in four colours. The designers chose Clara as they wanted a strong, fire resistant and ecologically focused fabric. The Arlanda Express is primarily used by business travellers – the fabric met their requirements for life, movement and colour.
Temple Restaurant Beijing
Remix, the bestselling Kvadrat textile, manufactured by WooltexUK, has been chosen for the seating at the Temple Restaurant Beijing, part of the boutique Temple Hotel. This is one of the most impressive dining venues in the city, located within the confines of a 600 year old temple complex close to the Forbidden City.
The cocktail lounge chairs, stools and dining chairs in the restaurant are upholstered with Remix in orange, yellow, red and beige.
Sheraton Zürich West
Kvadrat textiles, manufactured by WooltexUK, were chosen for the interior of the Sheraton Hotel Zurich which opened in January 2014. The hotel offers a vibrant, open atmosphere in the district of Zurich West – an area transformed from a former industrial district to a dynamic hub and focal point for art, culture and business.
The guest rooms are decorated with a wide range of WooltexUK fabrics including Steelcut and Zap. The public areas include seating for the bar in Divina Melange and Remix in the meeting and conference areas

Skype Stockholm Office
Kvadrat textiles have been used throughout the new Skype office in Stockholm. The 1680 sqm space caters to around 100 staff. Designed to capture the ‘playful, user-friendly spirit’ of Skype, it features custom-designed furniture, lighting and wallpaper. Colourful and rounded, the furniture has been designed by the architects to reflect Skype’s graphical profile and cloud-shaped logo.
Reflecting the role of Skype in driving communication, many of the elements in the interior are based on the idea of ‘interconnected nodes’. This is shown in the design of the workplaces, tables and bar, as well as the carpet, which features a pattern of rhomboid and triangular shapes. The Skype Stockholm office has received several awards and nominations, including: the first prize for ‘Outstanding Design of the Year’ at the 9th Modern Decoration International Media Award in China; Silver at the Swedish award for ‘Sweden’s Prettiest Office’; and nominations for Best Office Design at the Leaf Awards, London, and the Inside Festival, Barcelona.
Kvadrat textiles were chosen for upholstery on furniture and pillows through out the office. A variety of different colours of Wooltex fabrics; Divina, Steelcut Trio and Tonus were used.
